16,000 New Yorkers may die from coronavirus, according to the Gates Foundation

The cause of the epidemic could lead to the death of 16,000 New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo warned from Albany on Wednesday in his daily news conference.

So far, the virus has killed 1,914 statewide in the state with 83,712 cases confirmed, according Cuomo’s fourth shared statistic.

“There is a group sponsored by the Gates Foundation that the American project 93,000 will lose their lives due to this time being over,” Cuomo said. “The model that shows 16,000 New Yorkers will pass by this time running his course,” which could be through July, he added.

America’s wide projection of him is less than what the White House had for the third day, which estimates the number of deaths that were between 100,000 to 240,000 Americans.

The group referenced by the governors are the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), and their specific numbers for the two rates on Wednesday afternoon were 93,765 deaths in the U.S. and 16,090 in the state. The Institute has taken into effect the effects of social remedies until at least the end of May 2020.
